Volunteering

“I hope to volunteer for a good few years to come. Apparently if we keep learning we are likely to be healthier, happier and lead a useful longer life. I am up for that!”

Citizens Advice Derbyshire Districts depends on volunteers.

Our volunteers are at the heart of Citizens Advice and it is thanks to them that we can run our service. In addition to providing frontline advice, our volunteers have roles helping us with the day to day running of the organisation from reception duties, research and campaign work and public events.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and you do not need any specific experience, we will provide you with all the training you need. Please do get in touch as there is something for everyone and we’ll support you through all stages of the recruitment and training process.

Why volunteer?

  • Make a difference to people’s lives
  • Meet new people
  • Accredited training
  • Gain new skills
  • Build your confidence
  • Support your local charity
“I have been volunteering for 4 years and I really enjoy it. There is a sense of satisfaction of helping people with a range of problems. Our clients sometimes turn to us as a last resort and it’s great to be able to help people in that situation find a solution that they didn’t think was possible before.”

Trustees

Our trustee positions are all voluntary roles; you can find out more about what’s involved here.
We recruit trustees once a year in line with our AGM. If you’re interested, please let us know using the form below and we’ll contact you in due course.
